Данная статья посвящается юбилею известного ученого-востоковеда, доктора филологических наук, профессора Агнеш Бирталан, директора Департамента исследований Монголии и стран Внутренней Азии Университета Этвеша Лоранда (Будапешт). Ее подвижническая деятельность в сфере монголистики снискала известность в широких научных кругах Венгрии и за рубежом, в т.ч. в Монголии и России. Профессор Агнеш Бирталан является ярким представителем научной школы выдающихся востоковедов и продолжателем традиций, заложенных Лайошем Лигети (Ligeti Lajos, 1902-1987). Она ученица Дьёрдь Кара (Kara György, 1935-2022). Её научные интересы охватывают широкий круг вопросов, связанных с языком, культурой и религиозными представлениями народов Центральной Азии.

This article is dedicated to the anniversary of the renowned orientalist, Doctor of Philology, Professor Agnes Birtalan, Director of the Department of Mongolian and Inner Asian Studies at Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest). Her dedicated work in Mongolian studies has earned her recognition among scholars in Hungary and abroad, including in Mongolia and Russia. Professor Ágnes Birtalan is a prominent representative of the school of distinguished Orientalists and a successor to the traditions established by Lajos Ligeti (1902-1987). She is a student of György Kára (1935-2022). Her research interests cover a wide range of topics related to the language, culture, and religious beliefs of the peoples of Central Asia.
