This literature review examines strategies for optimizing multimodal analgesia within the framework of protocols for accelerated recovery after surgery on the colon and rectum (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery, ERAS). The necessity of using a multimodal approach to achieve adequate postoperative anesthesia is substantiated, which, in turn, helps to reduce the incidence of complications, shorten the duration of hospitalization and improve the quality of life of patients. Special attention is paid to the role of ultrasound controlled abdominal transverse blockade (TAP blockade) as a component of multimodal analgesia, which reduces the need for opioid analgesics and accelerates the restoration of gastrointestinal tract functions. The article presents current data on the effectiveness and safety of TAP blockade in colorectal surgery, as well as prospects for the introduction and optimization of this method in clinical practice.
