Abstract

Tidal energy is a renewable source with high predictability, offering a distinct advantage over solar and wind power. Despite the significant capital costs (CAPEX) associated with constructing Tidal Power Plants (TPPs), their long-term operation provides tariff stability and reduces dependence on fossil fuels. This article analyzes the economic feasibility of TPPs, focusing on offsetting high CAPEX through regional effects (infrastructure development, job creation) and sectoral synergies (growth in engineering, enhanced energy security).
