Abstract

In the context of significant sociocultural transformations of modern society, the problem of forming family values in senior schoolgirls acquires particular pedagogical significance. This is determined, on the one hand, by changes in the nature of intergenerational relations, the transformation of the institution of the family, the spread of new models of socialization and the growing influence of the digital information environment, and, on the other hand, by the need to prepare the younger generation for the conscious construction of future family life based on responsibility, respect, mutual support and spiritual and moral maturity. The article examines the theoretical foundations of forming family values in schoolgirls of grades 10–11 as a pedagogical and sociocultural phenomenon. It consistently reveals the essence of the concept of «family values», the features of senior school age as a period of intensive worldview, personal and value self-determination, and analyses the key pedagogical approaches to the problem under study: axiological, person-oriented, culturological, gender-sensitive and environmental. Special attention is paid to the factors that complicate the formation of family values in modern senior schoolgirls, including the fragmentary nature of educational influences, the mediatization of consciousness, the overvaluation of individualistic attitudes and the decline of the educational potential of some families. The conclusion substantiates the need for systematic pedagogical work aimed at integrating the efforts of school, family and society. The materials of the article can be used in scientific and pedagogical research, in the educational work of general education organizations, and in the development of programs of spiritual, moral and family education of senior schoolchildren.
