The problem of continuity and innovation in the development of an individual author's idiosyncrasy through the prism of Russian theoretical thought

Abstract

The article examines the problem of continuity and innovation in the development of idiosyncrasy of individual authors through the prism of Russian theoretical thought. Continuity and innovation are important aspects in the study of idiosyncrasy, as they allow us to understand how authors adapt and transform literary traditions and norms, creating unique artistic texts. The article analyzes the theoretical approaches to these issues developed by Russian literary critics and linguists. The methodological basis of the research includes a comparative analysis of texts, stylistic analysis, as well as interpretation of theoretical works by Russian researchers. Special attention is paid to the works of such theorists as Mikhail Bakhtin, Yuri Lotman and Viktor Shklovsky, who have made significant contributions to the study of idiosyncrasy and literary creativity. As a result of the analysis, key aspects characterizing the interaction of continuity and innovation in idiosyncrasy have been identified. It is shown that continuity is manifested in the use of traditional forms and structures, while innovation consists in their creative transformation and adaptation to modern conditions. Based on examples from works of Russian literature, various strategies of authors to combine these elements to create unique texts are illustrated. The mechanisms by which authors adapt and transform literary traditions are discussed, and how this contributes to the development of their idiosyncrasy. The influence of cultural and historical context on the process of interaction between continuity and innovation is also considered. It is concluded that the successful combination of these aspects allows the authors to create works that simultaneously reflect cultural heritage and meet the requirements of the time. The article highlights the importance of studying continuity and innovation in idiosyncrasy for understanding the processes of literary creation. It is established that these aspects play a key role in shaping the unique style of the authors and their contribution to the literary heritage. Directions for further research are suggested, including a more detailed study of the individual strategies of the authors and their interaction with the cultural context.
