Abstract

In the complex field of oncology rehabilitation, where patients struggle not only with the physical trauma of surgery but also with profound psychoemotional distress, effective management of postoperative pain syndrome (POPS) is a critical task requiring a multi-level and integrated approach. This article provides an in-depth analysis of current and emerging strategies for using transverse plane ropivacaine (TPB) as a key component of a comprehensive system developed within the Enhanced Recovery Surgery (ERAS) framework for patients with colorectal cancer. The article examines the role of TPB in optimizing recovery, reducing the need for opioid analgesics, and improving patients' overall quality of life.
