Abstract

The article is devoted to the technical aspects of performing the erector spinae muscle block (ESP-block) under ultrasound control in the context of pain relief during transrectal multifocal prostate biopsy. Based on the experience of performing ESP-block in 53 patients, the article describes a step-by-step technique for performing the procedure, as well as the technical aspects of positioning, visualization of anatomical structures, and administration of an anesthetic. The article analyzes the factors that affect the effectiveness of the block, the technical challenges that may arise during its implementation, and the methods to overcome them. The presented materials can serve as a practical guide for specialists who are learning this anesthesia technique.
