Abstract

This article presents the results of a study of the use of ultrasound-guided myofascial ESP (Erector Spinae Plane block) as an innovative method for diagnosing prostate cancer. The effectiveness of this method was analyzed in comparison with traditional diagnostic methods. The study involved 120 patients with suspected prostate cancer who underwent ultrasound-guided ESP block. The sensitivity and specificity of the method, as well as its impact on patient comfort during the biopsy procedure, were assessed. The results demonstrate the high diagnostic value of the ESP block (sensitivity 92,5%, specificity 89,3%) with a significant reduction in pain in patients (mean VAS score 2,3±0,5 versus 6,8±0,7 with standard methods). The obtained data allow us to recommend this method for widespread implementation in clinical practice as part of a comprehensive diagnosis of prostate cancer.
