Abstract

This study assessed the impact of obesity on hematological parameters in patients receiving various analgesic regimens. Patients were divided into an observation group using TAP blockade and a comparison group receiving a standard analgesic regimen. Within the groups, stratification was performed by body mass index (BMI). Analysis of hematological parameters (hemoglobin, erythrocytes, leukocytes, hematocrit, platelets, lymphocytes, neutrophils) did not reveal statistically significant differences between subgroups with different obesity levels in both clinical groups. However, in the comparison group, trends toward increased hemoglobin and hematocrit levels were observed in patients with stage II obesity (p=0.08 and p=0.07, respectively). The results indicate multidirectional changes in the hematological profile with different degrees of obesity, which requires further study on an expanded sample of patients.
